Meredith Krenzel *
Meredith Krenzel, 83, of Painesville Twp., passed away March 28, 2023 at Mapleview Country Villa in Chardon. She was born July 21, 1939 in Cleveland to the late Stafford and Damaris Sprague.
Meredith worked as an interior designer for Halle Brothers and was also a night club singer in Cleveland. She attended Hudson High School and Greenbrier College for Women where she was the Art Club president. Her hobbies were collecting art and unique figurines, crafting, sewing, reading, and building and decorating doll houses. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, singing, spending time with her cats, going out with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, and traveling the world, especially cruises.
Survivors include her daughter Tammy (Perry) Shockey; grandchildren, Kyle, Veronica; and her sister, Diana (Phil) Tucker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and her brother, Tod Sprague.
A memorial service to honor Meredith’s life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
A time of sharing memories and celebrating life will be held immediately following the memorial service from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Private inurnment will be held at Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Lake Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060. Please offer condolences at www.brunners.com
