Michael Whitacre *
A memorial service honoring the life of Michael Whitacre, 14, of Cleburne, will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.
Michael passed away on February 11, 2025, in Fort Worth. He was born on March 3, 2010, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Michael was known for his joyful spirit and infectious smile that could brighten any room. He was a fan of SpongeBob, especially his beloved character Patrick Star. Michael brought joy to those around him with his love for dinosaurs, loud toys, and music. His enthusiasm extended to visiting aquariums and playing in water, where he found pure delight. His favorite movie, Happy Feet, reflected his love for life and happiness.
Michael is survived by his loving mother, Misty Churchill, and stepfather, Billy Clark; his father, James Whitacre; and his brother, Kyle Whitacre. He is also remembered fondly by his aunts, Tara Bray, Leah Churchill, and Mica Shockey and husband, Brian; his uncle, Scott Whitacre; and his cousins, Whitney, MaKayla, Marceline, Rachel, and Acie.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Nanny Sue Whitacre and Nanny Holly Churchill, and his grandfather, Michael Whitacre.
As we gather to remember Michael, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the light he shared with everyone around him.
