Thursday, October 14, 1971 – Mrs. Martha McINTIRE, 90, Delong, died early today at her residence.  Final arrangements are pending at the Foster & Good funeral home.

Friday, October 15, 1971  –  Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Delong United Methodist church for Mrs. Martha McINTIRE, 90, Delong, who died Thursday at her residence. The Rev. Philip LUTZ will officiate. Burial will be in the Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the Foster & Good funeral home after 1 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. on Sunday and at the church one hour prior to services.  Born Jan. 19, 1881, in Union township, Mrs. McIntire was the daughter of Edward and Martha BARRETT STUBBS. Her marriage was April 24, 1907, in Delong, to Austin “Doc” McINTIRE. He died in 1960. Mrs. McIntire taught school in Aubbeenaubbee township many years and was a member of the Methodist church at Delong and the Spanish American War Veterans auxiliary.  Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Harry (Bessie) McVAY, Rochester, and numerous nieces and nephews. One daughter, a sister, and six brothers preceded in death.
