East Liberty Man Dies At Home
Service Sunday
Norman Kenton Ferryman, 79, of East Liberty, died suddenly at 9:30 a.m., Thursday at his home. A retired blacksmith, he was born Oct. 9, 1889 in Clark County to William and Henrietta (Venrick) Ferryman. He was twice married. His first wife was the former Margaret Wilkins who died in 1948. He later married the former Laura Cole who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Millard (Evelyn) Gatten, Mrs. Kenneth (Janice) Circle and Mrs. Carlos (Joyce) Peters, all of Urbana, and Mrs. Charles (Jean) Shirk, Piqua; two sons, Willis of Plain City and Roger of West Liberty; a step-daughter, Mrs. Maurice Patrick, Zanesfield; two brothers, Merle of Mechanicsburg and Albert of Milford Center; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Garey, Milford Center; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday in the Ballinger Funeral Home in West Mansfield where friends may call after 7:30 p. m. tonight. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery near Mechanicsburg. The Rev. Homer Knabel will officiate.
