Oliver W Holmes III *
Oliver Wendell Holmes III (Bud Harrell), aged 57, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away on April 1, 2025. Bud was known for his warm heart, generous spirit, and love for the outdoors. Whether fishing at his favorite spot, grilling for his loved ones, or enjoying time outdoors, Bud found joy in life’s simple pleasures.
Oliver served honorably in the United States Navy before establishing a respected career as a certified electrician. His work ethic and loyalty made a lasting impact on those who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Valliant of GA, and Olivia Holmes of MO; son, Christopher Holmes of NY; his brother, Frank Holmes of KS; and sister, Raynea Jamvold of MO. Oliver was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Shockey Harrell, and father, Oliver Wendell Holmes II.
A private memorial will be held by the family to honor Bud’s life and service at a later date, still to be determined.
