Omer D. Shockey
Omer D. Shockey, 69, of New Carlisle, Route 3, died in his home at 10:15 p.m. Monday following several years of failing health and four weeks serious illness. He was born in Clark County, April 13, 1880, the son of Harvey and Mary Shockey. He had lived his entire life in this vicinity. A member of the Donnelsville Methodist Church, Mr. Shockey was a retired gardner. Surviving are the widow, Ometa; four daughters, Mrs. Ernest Smith, Dayton, Mrs. Ross Wilson, South Vienna, Mrs. Robert Dunitace, Bowling Green, and Miss Dorothy Shockey, Toledo; two sons, Robert and Harry of Springfield; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home.
