Randall P Shockey *

Randall “Randy” Paul Shockey, 78, of Stafford Virginia joined our heavenly father on Friday, March 17, 2023. He passed away peacefully in Fredericksburg, VA to be with the Lord and his loving and faithful wife of 53 years, Ann Louise Shockey.

Randy was born on March 7, 1945 in Alexandria VA, to Robert and Dorothy Shockey. Randy met his future wife, Ann in Alexandria VA in 1965 and they were engaged on Christmas Day in 1967. Ann and Randy were married on July 20, 1968 at Del Ray United Methodist in Alexandria, VA and started their long journey through life as husband and wife. Ann and Randy had the first two of their four children, twins, Patrick and Pamela (Kaiser) Shockey in 1971 in Alexandria, VA and brought them home to their house in Springfield VA. On November 22, 1975 Ann and Randy’s third child, Christopher Paul Shockey was born at Alexandria hospital and their fourth child, Sean Michael Shockey, came two years later on May 9, 1977.

Randy started his military career as a reservist for two years before his was ordered for active duty in the Air Force. He retired from the Air Force 28 years later as a Major. He then began his logistical career at Marcor Syscom for the next 13 years. During this time, he went to work with Stafford County Crime solvers. After 41 years, he decided it was time to retire from federal service. Randy then had started working for MKI for about three years and retired. After this service, he chose to work for the Stafford County Sheriff’s Department four days a week as a volunteer. Randy decided to retire where he spent his time with his wife Ann and family.

Randy is survived by his loving four children and their spouses, Patrick Shockey (Kelly) Pamela Kaiser, Christopher Shockey (Jennifer), and Sean Shockey. He is also survived by his 9 grand children; Claire, Cassie, Thomas (Kasey), Troy (Caroline), Paige, Tyler (Amber), Alyson, Carter, Jacob and great grandson Damon. His brother Michael (Lynn) also survives him. His loving wife Ann Shockey, his parents Robert and Dorothy Shockey, and his son-in-law David Kaiser preceded him in death.

A visitation for Randy will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Rd, Stafford, Virginia 22554 where funeral service will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 at 12:00 PM. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA.
