Roy Shockey
MOOREFIELD, W. Va. — Roy Shockey, 71, of Burlington, died Thursday at Grant Memorial Hospital Petersburg, after an extended illness.
Born June 6, 1900 at Moorefield, he was a son of the late James Shockey and Annie Shockey Bobo.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Haines, Winchester, Va.; Mrs Mandy Burns, Mrs. Anna M Hott, Philadelphia, Pa.; Mrs. Betty Shugars, Westernport, Md.; Mrs. Rose Hott, Keyser; Mrs. Jane Baker, Covington, Va.; a son, Robert Shockey, Keyser; two half sisters, Mrs. Mary Pratt, Old Fields, and Mrs. Mabel Smith, Fisher; a half brother, James Bobo, of here and 32 grandchildren.
The body is at the Thursh-Fraley Funeral Home here where a service will be conducted today at 11 a.m. Rev. Laurean Smith will officiate. Internment will be in Newhouse Cemetery, Rig, W. Va.
