Ruth Marie Shockey
RUTH MARIE SHOCKEY, 92, of Arendtsville died Tuesday, April 19, at Quincy United Methodist Home. Born April 24, 1901 at Mount Zion, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harvey M. and Etta L. Pryor Davis. She was the widow of the late Harry Benjamin Shockey, who died in 1963. She was a member of Wayne Heights Brethren Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Martin of Biglerville and Etta M. Gearhart of Lancaster, a son, Paul K. Shockey of Greencastle, two sisters, Tillie Gift of Waynesboro and Rhoda Shoop of Leitersburg, Md., a brother, Paul Davis of Wayne Heights, seven grandchildren, and 12 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 30 a.m. from the Davis Funeral Home in Smithsburg, Md., with the Rev. Bruce Woolever officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.
