Sharon K. White, age 78, of Catlettsburg, Ky, passed on March 31st, 2023. Sharon was born to the late Louise Tomlin Shockey Spurlock and George Shockey, on March 6th, 1945.
A Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 5th, 2023, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, with Pastor Jimmy Blevins officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11am to 1 pm. Burial will take place at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Grayson, Kentucky following the service.

Sharon K. White, age 78, of Catlettsburg, Ky, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 31st, 2023. She passed gently away with her family by her side at home.
Sharon was born a healthy baby girl to the late Louise Tomlin Shockey Spurlock and George Shockey, on March 6th, 1945. She was a 1963 graduate of Boyd County High School. Sharon aspired to take care of people and she continued her education in nursing at Ashland Vocational School (Ashland Community And Technical College) in 1978. Sharon obtained her LPN and worked hard tending to the needs of others at Saint Mary’s and Bellefonte Hospital in behavioral health. Sharon had a strong faith and attended Living Stone Church. She loved being outdoors taking long walks in the woods especially in the Great Smokey Mountains. She enjoyed the beautiful colors of flowers and long drives. She had a caring heart and a sweet smile. Sharon was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Lawrence White;
devoted daughter Della White of Catlettsburg, three loving grandchildren Jesse White of Ironton, OH, Kyle White of Catlettsburg, and Zachary White of Flatwoods, KY; and one sister Hazel Wells of Catlettsburg, KY.
In addition to her parents, Sharon is enjoying a heavenly reunion with one beloved son Darren White.
A Funeral service to honor the life of Sharon will be held Wednesday, April 5th, 2023, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, located at 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg, with Pastor Jimmy Blevins officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be held prior to the service from 11am to 1 pm. The Nurse Honor Guard will hold a special ceremony in honor of Sharon and her work prior to the service. Burial will take place at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Grayson, Kentucky following the service.
