Solomon Crouse
COLUMBIANA — Solomon Crouse, 92, died Friday at 9 a.m. in the home of his grandson, Charles Ramsey of Court st., following a three-month illness of pneumonia.
A son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Crouse, he was born Aug. 4, 1848, in North Lima. He was married to Elmira Heck on May 4, 1872. She died in 1937. He spent most of his life in North Lima as a farmer and a mail carrier. He came to Columbiana to make his home with his grandson about five years ago.
He leaves another grandson, Gilford Ramsey of Youngstown; a granddaughter, Mrs. Olive Smith, also of Youngstown, and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Fry funeral home by Rev. J. C. Strobel, retired minister of Leetonia. Burial will be in the North Lima cemetery.
