Vivian “Betty” Shockey
Vivian “Betty” Casto Shockey, age 82, of Romney, WV passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at her home while under the care of Hospice.
Born on July 13, 1929 in Romney, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Cora (Shanholtz) Cheshire.
Betty worked and retired as a cook from West Virginia School for the Deaf & Blind in Romney, WV.
She was preceded in death by three husbands: Raymond Kline, Basil Casto and Frank Shockey; 1 son: James Kline; four brothers: Eldon, Clarence, Allen, and Harry Cheshire, and a sister: Maxine Leatherman.
Surviving are six sons: Raymond B. Kline, Paul Kline, Steven Casto, all of Romney, WV, Richard Kline of Capon Bridge, WV, Edward Kline of High View, WV, Michael Shockey, of Augusta, WV; two sisters: Mildred Sirk, Charlotte Pyles, both of Romney, WV; two brothers: Allen Cheshire of Junction, WV, Harry Cheshire of Cross Junction, VA; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Romney Assembly of God Church, Romney, WV with Pastor James Mou officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.
The family will receive friends on Friday, 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the McKee Funeral Home, 115 E. Birch Lane Romney, WV.
