Walter Hunter
Walter Hunter, age 95, of Mendota Heights, Minnesota Died October 13, 2023 in Minnesota Born September 28, 1928 in Boswell, PA the son of Frank D. and Margaret Matilda (Shockey) Hunter. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Mary Horner and Elizabeth “Betty” Walker; and brothers, Eugene, Ralph, Jack and William Hunter. Survived by wife of 74 years, Grace Lurane (Rhodes) Hunter; children, Bonnie Hunter, David Hunter and wife Cyndy, Mary and husband Brian Gette and Grace Dailey and husband Kris McIntire. Lee was a graduate of Boswell High School. He also attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He worked for three employers during his career: Hunter’s Supermarket, Pet Milk and Pitney Bowes and was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Minnesota. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and sports. Lee was a very loving and supportive father and husband. He was also a very kind and sharing person. He brought joy to others and had a wonderful sense of humor.His great smile, quick laugh, and twinkling eyes warmed the hearts of those who knew him.
