William H. Shockey
William H. Shockey, 72, of Friedens RD 1 died Aug. 16 in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born Jan. 22, 1901 in Meyersdale and was the son of Levi and Ellen (Miller) Shockey. Preceded in death by three sisters. He is survived by his widow, the former Kathryn Shank, the following children: Kenneth E., Friedens RD 1, Willard B., Friedens, Mary Jane Berkey of North Port, Long Island, New York, 12 grandchildren, the following brothers and sisters: Vernon, Friedens RD 1, Mrs. James (Cordilla) Tipton, Somerset RD 6, Orville, Friedens RD 2, Mrs. Harry (Edna) Schrock, Rockwood RD 1, Mrs. Violet Livengood, Somerset RD 1 and Mrs. Ernest (Alda) Beck, Rockwood RD 1. He was a member of the Listie Lutheran Church. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m.at the Listie Lutheran Church with the Rev. James R. Ling officiating. Interment will be at Somerset County Memorial Park. The body will lie in state in the church from 1 p.m. until time of service. In lieu flower donations made Listie Lutheran Church.
