Judy Skeen *

Judy Glennis (Casto) , 78, of Ripley passed away Thursday, April 18, at General Hospital.

Glennis was born March 30, 1946 at Belgrove a daughter of the late Hollie and Judy (Good) Casto.

Alongside her husband Bill, Glennis lived a faithful and dedicated life for the Lord. They worked with the youth ministry at the Ripley Tabernacle Baptist Church, then would serve at Graham Baptist Church and started the Sonrise Independent Baptist Church in Southport, NC, which is active to this day. Glennis also worked as a secretary for Fundamental Baptist Home Mission and was co-owner of the Rapture House Bible Book Store.

Glennis is survived by her son, Shannon Skeen and wife Sue Lynn; brother Arnold Casto (Mazil); sisters Reva Crihfield and Glenda (David); grandchildren Jesse Skeen (Brittany), Hollie Walters (Cody), Rebecca (Mackenzie) and Lyddia Carter and great-grandchildren , Clay, and . She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Glennis was preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Bill” Skeen; brothers Bernard, Don, Clayton, Clyde and Carroll Casto and a sister, Rosie Griffin.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 22nd at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Ed Austin officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
