Carol Myers *
Carol Sue Myers, 82, Gas City, passed away in her home at 5:39 pm on Friday, April 19, 2024. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, November 25, 1941, to Lowell and Naomi (Wright) Roby.
She worked at Thomson Consumer Electronics for 36 years. She attended First Friends Church. She enjoyed fishing, traveling to Alamo, Texas, and camping. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting. In later years, she enjoyed watching the Colts and IU basketball. She loved her pets, Sammy, Max and Bella. Carol enjoyed going out with friends and was close to her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Ronda (Greg) Thompson of Gas City; sons, Jerry (Brenda) Behr of Marion, Rick Behr of Marion; granddaughters, Brandi Wright of Marion, Morgan Thompson of Noblesville; grandson, Dev (Brittany) Thompson of McCordsville; great-grandsons, Brantley Stephens, Conner Wright, Camden Wright, Chase Wright; and brother, Skip Roby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell M. and Naomi V. Roby; special companion, Jay Shockey.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
