“A wife, a mother, a grandma too, this is the legacy we have from you

Unknown”

Edith Mae Warman, age 93, of Catlettsburg, KY, finished her work here and began her journey home to her Heavenly Kingdom on January 7th, 2023. She took with her the love of her big family and sweet memories of time shared with them.

Edith was born on May 20th, 1929. She was the blessing of the late Henry and Ella () . Edith was a graduate of county High School and dedicated her life to making a home full of love for her husband and children. She had a creative spirit and loved to make things with her hands. Edith loved to paint, and her family was stitched together, much like the things she would sew. Edith had a caring, giving heart and loved animals. Her entire life was spent rehabbing and taking in any creature. She raised dogs, cats, raccoons, rabbits, and even a deer who loved tobacco and skittles. If anyone, including the game warden, found an animal in need, they knew precisely where to take it. Edith had a strong faith and enjoyed attending church at Whites Creek Methodist and being outdoors where she could admire God’s creations. She was loved by so many and left a void in the hearts of all who knew her that would only be filled by the love she gave them in her life.

Edith leaves behind seven loving children; Roy Warman of Catlettsburg, KY; Pennie Armstrong and her husband Jim of Ashland, KY; Bobbie and her late husband Charlie of Ashland, KY; Glenna White and her late husband Russ of Catlettsburg, KY, Connie Runyon, and her husband Mosey of Catlettsburg, KY, Marsha and her husband Tony of Oklahoma, and Lenita Musgrove, and her husband, of Canada. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Edith also leaves behind many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Edith is enjoying a Heavenly reunion with her late husband of 61 years, J.C. Warman; three grandchildren, Matt Armstrong, Cathy Wilburn, and Rebecca Musgrove; four brothers, Henry Shockey, Roy Shockey, Lon Shockey, and George Shockey; and three sisters, Hazel Hardy, Nora Campfield, and Amanda Shockey.
