Eli G. Shockey

Eli G. , 70, of 1722 Cameo Ave., Loveland, Colo., died March 9, , in Weld County General Hospital in Greeley, Colo. A native of Sand Patch, Somerset County, he was born Aug. 18, , and married the former Florence Gerhardt of Meyersdale, in East McKeesport, 31, . Prior to his retirement in , Mr. Shockey was a pipe design and stress engineer for plants and worked on an atomic facility in Hanford, Wash. He also designed an atomic waste disposal car. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Vitro Corporation in Richland, Ore., before locating in Loveland in . Mr. Shockey was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers, the John A. Brashear Masonic Lodge 743, AF&AM, Dormont, Pa.; the Georgus Lodge of Perfection, Scottish Rite, Pittsburgh, and the Shrine Club of Pittsburgh. He also was affiliated with the Methodist Church in Dormont. Survivors include his wife; three children, Gordon Shockey, San Diego, Calif.; Philip N. Shockey, Albuquerque, N.M.; and Mrs. Robert (Mary Katheryn) Ramsay, Berthoud, Colo.; six grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Cross, Miss Cleo Shockey and Mrs. Ann Green all of , Pa.
