Jaime L Lewis *
Jaime Lee Lewis, age 34, of Rig, WV passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023. He was born on December 18, 1988 in Winchester, VA, the son of Dwight Lewis Sr. (Arbutus) of Old Fields, WV and the late Lisa Ellen (VanMeter) Taylor. On September 26, 2020 Jaime married Courtney (Frame) Lewis who survives in Rig.
Mr. Lewis was a 2007 graduate of Moorefield High School and was a Christian by faith. He was employed at Waco Inc. Power Plant in Mt. Storm, WV. Jaime enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He loved spending time outdoors but cherished the time he spent with his family the most.
In addition to his wife, Jaime is survived by: a brother, Dwight Lewis Jr. of Moorefield, WV; 2 step-brothers, Randal Taylor (Kaitlyn) of Moorefield, WV; Daniel Taylor (Brittany) of Old Fields, WV; 4 step-sisters, Stephanie Riggleman (Matthew) of Burlington, WV; Christina Davison (Coleman) of Springfield, WV; Sheryl Knight of Keyser, WV; Megan Riggleman (Justin) of Moorefield, WV; a step-father, Zachery Taylor of Old Fields, WV; paternal grandmother, Darlene Lewis of Old Fields, WV; maternal step-grandmother, Edith VanMeter of Cabins, WV; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his mother, Jaime was preceded in death by: his grandfathers, Fred Lewis; Coye VanMeter; and uncle, Danny Kimble.
Jaime’s family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2023, 12-2 PM, at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the VanMeter Family Cemetery, Cabins, WV.
